Wyclef Jean runs for president of Haiti

Wyclef Jean is going to be campaigning till November.

Putting to rest the speculation that's been circling in political and entertainment circles, the former Fugee confirmed this week that he is running for president of Haiti.

The people of Haiti are pleased about this and to ease their fears about the corruption allegations against his Charity-Yele Haiti-he stepped down as its chairman
Interestingly, Jean's fellow former Fugee, Pras, is supporting his rival- a popular musician named Michel "Sweet Micky" Martelly.

Here’s hoping politics doesn’t divide them.
