Sierra Leone want Naomi's blood diamonds back!

Sierra Leone want their blood diamonds back from Naomi Campbell to help victims of the civil war.

Sierra Leone's Human Rights Commission has also written to Campbell to ask her to make a personal donation to the country's War Victims' Fund.

However after receiving ‘the dirty looking pebbles’ by 2 men whom she alleges she didn’t know were from Charles Taylor, she gave them to Jeremy Ractliffe, then director of the Nelson Mandela Children's Fund, urging him to "do something good" with them.

Mr Ractliffe said last week that he had kept them in a safe at his home for 13 years before handing them to South African police last week.

Tests have failed to establish the diamonds' origin. Under South African law, unclaimed stones can be sold and the revenues kept by the government.

But maybe they do need to go back to the place they came from.
