Lady gaga gets 13 nods at the MTV VMAs and

You can call her a man or plain weird but there’s no denying that lady gaga has talent and it seems MTV agrees as well.

Lady GaGa has received a record-breaking 13 nominations for this year's MTV Video Music Awards.

The singer-songwriter picked up nods in categories including 'Best Pop Video', 'Best Dance Music Video', 'Best Female Video', 'Best Collaboration' and 'Best Choreography'.

She is the first artist to have more VMA nominations in a single year than any artist in MTV history.

But being no 13 will it prove fortunate for her? Gaga says she’s even happier that it is no 13-Trust her to love the spooky coincidence.

In addition to her own nods, GaGa is also named in five of Beyoncé's nominations for their 'Video Phone collaboration - making a total of 18 mentions in the shortlist.
