Lopez jokes that AMA fall was planned

Jennifer Lopez has laughed off her on-stage stumble at the American Music Awards by joking that it was part of a choreographed routine.

Lopez said that the way she dealt with the incident should be applauded, adding that she was delighted to be back in front of the crowd performing again.

Lopez, who described the event as "really fun" and a "ball", went on to say: "The measure of things isn't what happens when you fall, it's how you recover when you fall."

Guess she recovered quite well from it then, didn’t she??

Kiss announce 2010 UK and Ireland tour

Kiss have announced that they will tour Europe next year, confirming five UK and Ireland dates.

The band revealed the 2010 tour, dubbed 'Sonic Boom Over Europe: From The Beginning To The Boom', in a video posted online yesterday.

Tickets for the shows go on sale on November 27.

Adam Lambert defends his AMAs performance

Adam Lambert has addressed his controversial performance at Sunday's American Music Awards.

Speaking to CNN after the show, the singer claimed that the kiss had been "in the moment" and was not a choreographed part of his performance.

"Part of what I love about being a performer is sometimes you are just in the moment and things happen. Adrenaline is a crazy feeling," he explained.

Lambert went on to say that he had not been trying to make a statement, but "in hindsight, I do feel like there is a bit of a double standard in the entertainment industry".

He added: "I feel like women performers have been pushing the envelope sexually for the past 20 years and all of a sudden a male does it and everybody goes, 'Oh, we can't show that on TV'. For me, it's a form of discrimination and a double standard and that's too bad."

Eva Mendes Defends Her Half-Naked Calvin Klein Ad

Eva Mendes has blasted religious critics of her raunchy Calvin Klein lingerie ad, insisting the semi-naked poster is "tasteful and beautiful."

The actress' latest billboard ad for the fashion firm has temperatures rising, particularly a poster in downtown New York City that shows the half-naked star sprawled across an entire city block.

Critics have protested and want the poster pulled down, but Mendes insists they're wrong.

And we couldn't agree more, In fact I wouldn't mind seeing more naked pictures of this gorgeous lady!!!!

Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington has shed his clothes in support of animal rights.

Love the caring and nakedness!!!

The rocker has teamed up with Peta2, the young adult division of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), for its new "Ink, Not Mink" campaign, which urges fans to bear body art instead of fur.

He's posed topless for print ads, showing off his collection of tattoos across his chest and arms under the tagline, "Be comfortable in your own skin, and let animals keep theirs."

Bennington is also speaking out about another animal rights cause close to his heart - dog and cat overpopulation - in a bid to encourage pet owners to have their fluffy friends neutered or spayed. Hmmm...Don't know how much i love about that 1!!!

Adam Lambert Defends His Raunchy AMAs Performance

American Idol star Adam Lambert has defended his same-sex kiss onstage at the American Music Awards on Sunday after angry viewers complained about his risqué performance.

The openly gay singer, stunned audiences with a saucy rendition of his debut single For Your Entertainment, groping and writhing with dancers dressed in bondage outfits. He concluded the track by pulling his male keyboardist in for a passionate kiss.

Honestly what is the big deal??If he snogged a woman would we really be creating all this fuss?? Who cares?? It was entertaining wasn't it??

Taylor Swift Dominates American Music Awards

Pop sensation Taylor Swift stole the show at the American Music Awards on Sunday night, scooping five AMAs.

Swift won the Artist of the Year award and was also named Favorite Pop/Rock Female, Favorite Country Female and Favorite Adult Contemporary Artist. Her album Fearless was also named Favorite Country Music Album.

Taylor wasn't at the awards but in London, so she accepted her award via a satellite link.

Late King of Pop Michael Jackson was the night's other headline-grabber, scooping four awards and setting a new AMA record for most wins.

Jackson was named Favorite Soul/R&B Male and Favorite Pop/Rock Male and his Number Ones album won the Favorite Pop and Favorite Soul/R&B Album awards - earning him his 22nd, 23rd, 24th and 25th AMAs.

The posthumous prizes were collected by his brother Jermaine, wearing a single sequined glove, and accompanied on the first occasion by his three sons Jaffar, Jermajesty and Jeremy.

Jay-Z was another of the night's big winners, taking the Favorite Rap/Hip Hop Male and Favorite Rap/Hop Album awards. His wife Beyonce skipped the ceremony, but claimed the Favorite Soul/R&B Female award.

Other winners included Green Day, who were named Favorite Alternative Rock Group and Rascal Flatts, who collected the Favorite Country Duo/Band award for the fourth straight year.

Keith Urban won Favorite Country Male Artist, and dedicated the award to his wife Nicole Kidman and daughter Sunday, telling the crowd, "To my wife, I love you so much baby girl. This is for you and Sunday."

Susan Sarandon Lands Lifetime Achievement Award

Susan Sarandon was the toast of the Stockholm International Film Festival in Sweden on Saturday when she was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award.

The 63 yearl old Oscar winer was presented with a bronze horse statuette weighing a hefty 15 pounds, by Swedish actor Gustaf Hammarsten.

Accepting the award, Sarandon vowed to continue working for as long as possible, so let's hope she makes another 'Thelma and Louise'.

Michael Jackson's Glove Will Be Main Attraction At A Chinese Hotel

A rhinestone-studded glove once worn by Michael Jackson is set to go on display in a hotel in the Chinese area of Macau after selling at auction for more than $350,000.

The famous glove, worn by the late MJ when he debuted his trademark Moonwalk dance move in 1983, was snapped up by Hong Kong resident Hoffman Ma when it went under the hammer in New York on Saturday.

Nine other Jackson items will also be put on display, including a pair of sequined socks and a shirt the King of Pop wore in his Thriller video!

Infact i wouldn't mind buying the snazzy ZIP leather jacket he wore in the video for BAD.

Jordin Sparks in Hospital With Appendicitis

Jordin Sparks is recovering after emergency surgery to have her appendix removed.

The Idol winner was supposed to perform in Australia, with Australian Idol Guy Sebastian on Sunday, but was forced to scrap her appearance she was hospitalized with acute appendicitis on Wednesday night. Aww poor thing.

The singer logged on to her Twitter.com page from the recovery room on Thursday, posting a picture of herself and assuring fans she plans to be back on her feet in "the next week or so."

She added: "Feeling a little better but very sore. Thank you so much for your thoughts & prayers. It means so much & it's so powerful."

Wesley Snipes Appeals Tax Convictions

Wesley Snipes has appealed his three-year prison sentence on U.S. federal tax charges - insisting the term is "unreasonable."

Can't agree more!

The star was convicted in 2008 of three misdemeanor counts of willful failure to file his income tax return.

According to prosecutors, who pursued the maximum penalty, Snipes made at least $13.8 million for the years in question and owed $2.7 million in back taxes.

Snipes apologised at the time, insisting he was was "unschooled in the science of law and finance". And again i agree, poor guy!

His attorney accused prosecutors of seeking to make an example out of the actor, insisting the sentence "focused too heavily on deterrence".

Snipes remains free on bail and was not present at the Atlanta courthouse.

The three-judge panel did not issue an immediate decision.

Let's hope he isn't another celebrity biting IRS dust!

Entourage creator Doug Ellin has vowed to put an end to homophobic and racial slurs made behind the scenes of the hit TV show after actor Rex Lee complained about bullying on set.

The gay Asian star, who plays Lloyd on the program, admitted he was "occasionally" targeted by crewmembers for his lifestyle.Aww i love Llyod!!

He does he tries not to let it bother him, but I am sure it does affect him.

Ellin is "shocked and horrified" to learn of Lee's claims, and has promised to take charge of the matter when filming on the seventh season begins next year.

He says, "(I) will be speaking to everybody before we start filming again in March. It's not something condoned or acceptable."

The hip-hop star reportedly welcomed his fourth child, a son with R&B singer Nivea, over the weekend - just two months after actress Lauren London gave birth to little Lennox Samuel Ari in September.

Wayne – however missed the birth due to a prior engagement in Atlanta, but I mean he has experienced it a zillion times already so its not like he missed anything big tme!

The former action man's second and final term as Governor of California comes to an end at the end of 2010 and he insists he won't be seeking any other political gig after he steps down.

The Austrian-bon Republican recently hinted at another possible political run when he challenged America's rules on the nationality of those who seek election as President, but Schwarzenegger insists he won't be seeking that role - or any other once he leaves office in Sacramento, California.

Jennifer Lopez has her ex-husband Ojani Noa under constant surveillance since he publicized plans to release home videos of their brief marriage, according to his lawyer and manager.

Lopez successfully applied for a restraining order against her former partner to prevent him putting footage of their honeymoon in his mockumentary How I Married Jennifer Lopez: the J.Lo and Ojani Noa Story. Earlier this month, the star also launched a $10 million lawsuit against Noa, alleging he had violated terms of a confidentiality agreement he signed in 2005.

Noa slammed his ex after a court hearing where the restraining order was issued, claiming Lopez was "destroying his life" by taking exception to the personal video footage.

Now the Cuban is adamant he is under surveillance by members of Lopez's entourage.

Amy Winehouse Hospitalized Over A 'Leaky' Boob?

Amy Winehouse's stay in the hospital earlier this week was prompted by problems with her recent boob job, according to her father Mitch.

The Back To Black hit-maker entered The London Clinic in the U.K. capital on Sunday, reportedly due to an adverse reaction she suffered after taking medication for a cold.

However, her dad Mitch has admitted she actually entered the facility because of complications from her breast enhancement operation in October.

He says, "It wasn't because she has a cold. She's fine, she just had a little leaky something or other."

A friend explains to Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper, "She saw something oozing out on to her top. She was worried as to see stuff seeping out was horrible."

When i think of A Team i think CHEESY!!!

But, if Jessica Biel says that this time it isn't going to be so then i'm gonna take her word for it!!

"I think I was a little concerned, at first, about whether we were going to be really super-cheesy or dark, or what we'd be doing," Biel said. "I think we've found lots of humor, at the same time that it's quite emotional with dramatic moments. I think it's going to be a lot of different things combined into this one movie. But, there are a lot of throw-backs and a lot of paying homage to the original show."

Biel is credited as Lt. Sosa, but actually said she might be a captain. "It's really fun. I'm getting to work a lot with weapons again, which I haven't done in a long time. That sounds kinda weird, but it's the best to learn about that kind of thing. The cast is wonderful. Joe Carnahan, our director, is hitting the nail right on the head. We've got a really interesting tone going on."

However as "kick ass" as she says it's gonna be, i'm not going to give A-Team an A star till i watch it for myself!!!

Oprah Winfrey To Announce Show Will End In 2011

"The Oprah Winfrey Show," will end its run in 2011 after 25 seasons on the air, Winfrey's production company said Thursday night.

Winfrey plans to announce the final date for her show during a live broadcast on Friday, Harpo Productions Inc. said, bringing an end to what has been television's top-rated talk show for more than two decades, airing in 145 countries worldwide and watched by an estimated 42 million viewers a week in the U.S. alone.

A Harpo spokeswoman declined to comment Thursday on Winfrey's future plans except to say that "The Oprah Winfrey Show" will not be transferred to cable television.

DAMN!! How am i going to spend my mornings now???

Winfrey is widely expected to start up a new talk show on OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network, a much-delayed joint venture with Discovery Communications Inc. that is expected to debut in 2011.

Thank God at least we will still be able to watch her on tv!!Coz let's face it, this woman made talk shows cool for people of all sexes and gender!!!!

Kenyan in New Moon!!!!!

I was so flabbergasted when i realised that a Kenyan actor had cinched his way into 'New Moon'-te second film in the Twilight Saga!!
Edi Gathegi plays Laurent, a vampire, who wants to 'eat' and kill 'Bella', but is eventually shredded to pieces by the werewolves (SPOILER ALERT).
But this isn't the first time Edi has shone overseas, he played Dr Jeffrey Cole in my favourite Dr drama-House and also appeared in 'My Bloody Valentine'this year.
We can definitely expect more from this Kenyan!!

Osbourne 'delighted by McCartney snub'

Ozzy Osbourne was snubbed by Sir Paul McCartney but rather than feeling rejected he was honoured!

Huh??

Well what happened was that the Black Sabbath frontman recalled that he once used a chance meeting with McCartney to ask whether he would like to team up on some new material.

Osbourne revealed that the Liverpudlian declined the offer, but only because he did not feel he could better Osbourne's work.

He said Meeting Paul McCartney was phenomenal. They were in the studio at the same time andozzy tried to get mcartney to play bass on one of his songs.

"to which paul politely declined as he said he couldn't improve on the bass-line that was there. And ozzy asked him if he was kidding? As mccartney could p*ss on the record and ozzy’d make it his life.

Ozzy really has a way with words doesn't he?

Adam lambert releases new album next week!!

Adam lambert will unleash one of the most highly anticipated debut albums, next week titled, "For Your Entertainment" .

Plus The credits on Lambert's first album read like a list of the hottest artists in the music business. Lady Gaga, P!nk , members of Muse, Justin Hawkins, are just sum of the names who have contributed to his album.

Nicolas Cage aging sadly!

Nicholas Cage, who is the United Nations Goodwill ambassador on Drugs and Crime, is in Mombasa Kenya!

He recently made a visit to the Shimo la Tewa GK Prison.

But despite working for such a brilliant cause, The 45-year-old star has looked better.

The poor guys hair is disappearing, and he seems very pale.

Maybe his financial problems are causing premature aging?

Cage is taking his former business manager to court in a multi-million dollar lawsuit, accusing the adviser of sending the actor "down a path toward financial ruin." The star has been hit with a $6.26 million tax lien from Internal Revenue Service (IRS), alleging he failed to pay income tax on wages dating back to 2007.

Cage is also facing other claims of unpaid tax related to his earnings between 2002 and 2004, while he was accused of defaulting on a $2 million loan earlier this month.
Poor guy.

Last night i was at Klubhouse for Jazz Night and i was completely blown away by one crooner...the entire table i was with shut up (including my good buddy Martin)to listen to this sexy, deep, husky voice!!

Ofcourse I am talking about no 1 other than Kevin Mbugua! This man has the most goosebump giving, toe-curling and fantasy-creating voice I have ever heard!!

He only sang a couple of songs but the entire pub shut up to listen to his mesmerizing voice!! It got so silent at one point that we would glare angrily at waitresses shuffling around with their drinks!

All i can say is WOW!! To say i was blown away is an understatement!

And guess what, you can catch him for yourself this Friday at Daas restaurant and bar in Westlands from 8.30pm, where he will feature songs from Michael Jackson, John Mayer(and he sounds better than Mr. Mayer himself), Cold Play and ofcourse his own tunes like "Elsewhere" which has become a radio sensation and broken the record for the longest run on the airwaves!!!

MTV Staying Alive Foundation in conjunction with UNICEF and G-Pange, HIV Free Generation have funded a 3 part Drama Series which was shot in Nairobi under the directorship of renowned South African Director, Teboho Mahlatsi and is produced by renowned Kenyan producer, Alison Ngibuini.

The drama series aptly named Shuga promises to be an explosive production which will lift the lid on the sex lives of Kenyan and by extension African youth.

According to my sources, It is a no holds barred production that will push the envelope and address issues relating to youth and emerging sex trends that society is either unwilling to address or is totally ignorant about.Sounds freaking awesome!!

She has come up with 2 projects in an effort to control the poaching menace in the Mara.
Raabia had gone on anti-poaching patrol with Care For The Wild Kenya, (who she volunteers for part time)and which, believe it or not, is an organization that is run by one man!
Her first project is to get a patrol vehicle for the team, so that they can get to the poachers before it’s too late.

For this she need s about 2M which will cover the cost of buying a used vehicle and modifying it to suit the terrain, plus cater for fuel costs (a factor that will be managed by care for the wild later on).

She also needs to set up a mobile vet unit for the Mara Triangle as currently there is only one vet in the whole Mara and that will cost 6.1 Million Kshs.

Which is why she needs our help desperately. Yes times are hard, and YES we need to take care of our children and ourselves, but here is your chance to help save a precious life. Even 5 Kshs. Will go a long way!

Mick Jagger Joins U2, Metallica, Aretha Franklin at the Rock Hall’s Epic 25th Anniversary Bash

The second night of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s 25th anniversary came to its climax this weekend, after nearly four hours of jaw-dropping musical collaborations, Like Metallica n Ozzy Osbourne, Ray Davies and Lou Reed; Jeff Beck jamming with Sting and Billy Gibbons;

and then U2 brought out Patti Smith, Bruce Springsteen and the Black Eyed Peas for their closing set.

Yet, few people were prepared for what happened when U2 began playing the intro to “Gimme Shelter” with Will.i.am at the keyboard and Fergie recreating Merry Clayton’s apocalyptic vocal intro. Without a word of introduction by Bono, surprise guest Mick Jagger sprinted onstage and performed like he has never performed!!
What a collaboration it was!!

Gay Wedding, Liza Minnelli Cameo On 'Sex And The City' Sequel A Hoax

Rumors the new Sex And The City movie will feature a gay wedding and performances by Liza Minnelli and Barbra Streisand has been blasted as a hoax by star Mario Cantone.

Details of the film's top secret plot appeared to have been leaked in recent weeks, with sources insisting the two divas would appear in a ceremony uniting Cantone's character Anthony Marantino and Willie Garson's Stanford Blatch.

Minnelli herself told an Australian newspaper she performed a version of Beyonce Knowles's "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on it)" for the film.

But Cantone insists the rumors are false - hinting they are part of a deliberate ploy to throw fans and the press off the scent.

The actor tells NYPost.com's PopWrap blog, "No, nothing's true. I hadn't even read that. That's hilarious."

And he laughs off the suggestion of a Minnelli cameo: "No, I would have self-combusted! I would have been dead. I wouldn't be here talking to you. I don't even know that she's in the movie."
