Art for AFYA a roaring success!!

If you weren't at the Art for Afya event this Wednesday night then you missed out big!!

It was roaringly successful. The courtyard at Mwenda's, sporting new tasteful decor, was jam packed with Afya Kenya Foundation supporters who turned up to help raise awareness and funds to tackle health issues in Kenyan Society.

Fans came out in force to watch the dazzling performances by Limbe, R&B crooners Elani( who my friend Haanee Khan says were "awesome"), the effervescent Dan Chizi with his band, The Wananchi and Sauti sol who brought the house down with their hit singles such as 'Blue Uniform', 'Zosi' and 'Lazizi'.

There were poetical pieces by Mkamzee and Cedric Kuloba and stunning monologues by Eddy Kimani and Joed Ngaruiya in addition to a variety of art pieces by Samuel Githegi on display at the site gallery.

In attendace included dignitaries such as Hon. Charles Nyamai, MP Kitui West, a long time supporter of the foundation, Grace Makosewe from VIP Parties at the Tribe Hotel, Hermina Patel of K24.

This was the first Art For Afya event of the year to be followed by more every last Wednesday of the month. It promises to be THE event of the social calendar this year.

Can't wait to be there next time:)
