Adam Lambert: 'AMAs kiss went too far'

Adam Lambert has told Oprah Winfrey that looking back he probably would've done things differently during his controversial American Music Awards performance last year.

The singer made headlines after his rendition of 'For Your Entertainment' included him kissing another man.

"I don't regret the actual performance, but I probably would've included the kiss and the gyrating as part of the rehearsal, just so ABC could see whether they liked them," he said on today's The Oprah Winfrey Show.

He continued: "It's about being professional and it's a professionalism I didn't realise before."

Lambert also confirmed that the "boys on leashes" were a planned part of the performance, but elements like the kiss "went a little too far for some people".

When asked by Winfrey whether he "just felt like kissing somebody", the star responded in agreement.

"The lyric in that part of the song is very risqué and I wanted to be risqué, too," he added.
