Last week saw a baby boom birth for celebrities

Grey's Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo gave birth to a baby girl last week.

Little Stella Luna Pompeo Ivery is Pompeo and husband Chris Ivery's first child. The couple, who wed in 2007.

It's all baby talk on the set of the medical drama at the moment - Pompeo's co-star Katherine Heigl, who hosted the new mum's baby shower party, recently adopted a baby girl from Korea.

But not be left behind is Jude Law who has become a father for the fourth time - his former lover Samantha Burke has given birth to a baby girl.

The British actor confirmed he was set to become a dad again in July after enjoying a brief romance with the model earlier this year, while he was shooting Sherlock Holmes in New York.

Burke, who was due on October 6, welcomed her daughter into the world on Tuesday night.

Law, who is currently starring in previews for a Broadway production of Hamlet, vowed to stand by Burke and help to raise the child, but was reportedly not present for the birth.
