Johnny Depp for 'Jump Street' film cameo?

Johnny Depp is reportedly interested in making a cameo in the upcoming 21 Jump Street movie.

The star appeared in the undercover cop show from 1987 until 1990, playing officer Tom Hanson.

And his hoping they'll let him do a cameo.

Superbad star Jonah Hill is writing, producing and potentially starring in the big screen update. The movie is expected to open in US cinemas in 2012.
