I just heard Panache Productions will be presenting their signature event- Lishkara 20100, Shine on this New Years Eve.

It will going down at The Sarit Centre in pomp and glamour and Gupz Saund will be the entertainer of the night (So you can bet it will be beyond rocking!)

Tickets are going for 6500/- and include a lavish Indian and Chinese buffet, drinks, sheesha and entertainment.

I also hear the event will be supporting the Nairobi Green Line, so while bringing in 2011 you will also be performing a good deed.

Carrie Underwood scoops it all the Country Music Awards

Carrie Underwood dominated the first ever American Country Awards on Monday night, scooping all six of her nominated trophies.

The singer was the toast of the evening, claiming the coveted Artist of the Year title, and beating Taylor Swift and Miranda Lambert to the best female artist prize. Underwood also picked up trophies for Touring Artist of the Year, Album of the Year for Play On, as well as Single of the Year: Female for her track Cowboy Casanova, which also garnered the star the best female music video title.

During her acceptance speech at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Underwood thanked her devotees for landing her the awards in the fan-voted ceremony.

She told the crowd, "We have had the most amazing year out on the road but we wouldn't be doing anything if there weren't people out there sitting in that audience. So to everybody that came out to see us (or) anybody else out here, you guys are awesome for supporting us like you do. God bless the fans."

Other big winners on the night included Lady Antebellum, who took home four prizes including Artist of the Year: Duo or Group, while their track Need You Now was named Single of the Year, Single of the Year: Duo or Group and Music Video: Duo or Group.

Meanwhile, Brad Paisley landed Male Artist of the Year and Easton Corbin was the top newcomer of the event - he scooped three awards, including Breakthrough Artist of the Year. Rascal Flatts won the Decade Award.

Shiloh, Zahara and their mom ventured forth in New York City to hit their favorite midtown art supply store, and the results were pretty artful themselves. (Big brothers Pax and Maddox were also on this expedition, but managed to keep a lower profile.)




While Zahara opted for a sophisticated neo-Victorian look (with matching Wellingtons), Shiloh lightly charged ahead (while still holding her mother's hand) in a military jacket and aviator hat.

Totally steampunk style moves, ladies. There hasn't been this much dress-up fun since Halloween.

Cate Blanchett ears perk up For Hobbit!

Cate Blanchett will reteam with Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson to reprise her role as the grandest elf of all in The Hobbit, which starts shooting in New Zealand in February.

The Australian Oscar winner is the first major star from the LOTR trilogy to be announced as a member of the Hobbit cast since the two-part prequel was officially greenlighted in October.

Radio Jambo boys win top award

Radio Jambo presenters Diamond Okusimba and Toldo Kuria were late last week declared the Radio Journalists of the Year at the annual Footballer of the Year Awards

The Homestretch presenters beat out all other presenters at the award ceremony organized by the Kenya Premier League and the award recognizes individuals who have played a sterling role in promoting local soccer.

Worth noting last years winners were Joseph Ogidi and Ghost also of Radio Jambo….Congratulations to the guys who also pocketed 100 thousand shillings for winning the award.

LADY GAGA TO GO SILENT ON TWITTER FOR GOOD CAUSE

Come Wednesday (December 1st), you won't see any Twitter updates from Lady Gaga. She, along with Justin Timberlake, Usher and others, have signed on to a new campaign called Digital Life Sacrifice, which means they'll be off of social networking sites temporarily.

According to Billboard.com, on behalf of Alicia Keys' charity, Keep a Child Alive, they will go silent on social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter on Wednesday -- World AIDS Day. They'll only sign back on when the charity raises $1 million.

Other celebrity participants include Jennifer Hudson, Ryan Seacrest, Kim and Khloe Kardashian, Elijah Wood, Serena Williams and more.

Eva and Tony split

Three years after swapping vows in France surrounded by hundreds of people at a fairytale-worthy chateau, Eva Longoria and Tony Parker are splitting up.

Pamela Anderson in India's Big Brother-Big Boss

Pamela Anderson is in India starring in their version of "Big Brother" entitled "Bigg Boss 4."

No, she's not featured in the show for its entire run, she's just making a three day appearance as a houseguest. And She'll make a cool $500,000 for the short stay, too.

Anderson's cameo on the show comes with a purpose though, she's using it as a platform to promote her favorite causes, like PETA and teaching housemates about water purification.

She said she had always wanted to visit India and since life was short she decided to the show.

Anderson is also doing her fair share around the house. She claims she's used to housework and says she’s swept floors, does the laundry and cooks.

I wonder if she does all this whilst running in slow motion in her red bathing suitthat fulfill every man’s fantasy.

Makmende founders cry foul

A local art group staged a play at the sarakasi dome recently titled “Makmende vies for president” that was very well received, The play which is meant to inspire and encourage the youth on leadership picks on Makmende a popular character that was the internet craze a few months ago.

There is however some controversy brewing as the founders of the character music group Just a Band who say they came up with the whole Makmende idea say the idea was stolen from them without their permission.

Prince William finally pops-the question that is

Kate Middleton has finally seized the bull by his horns and gotten Prince William to propose to her!

The 28-year-old British Royal proposed to her while on holiday in Kenya in October using his late mother's wedding ring.

Let's just hope it doesn't lead to their divorce as his parent's did.

A statement from Clarence House reveals the wedding will take place in London in either spring or summer 2011. The couple will live in north Wales.

Guess this explains why her parents were sipping tea with the queen a few weeks ago.

We however have also heard Reports also state that they might tie the knot at the Lewa Downs...can't wait to gate crash...lol

Kenyan artists nominated for MTV MAMAs!!

3 Kenyan acts have been nominated for an award at the Prestigious MTV Africa music awards or MAMA’s as they are called, The awards which are slated for the 11th of December in Lagos Nigeria will have Kenyan Trio P-unit leading the charge as they go against heavyweights P-square as well as Radio and weasel and South Africa’s Teargas for the best group award,

The 2nd Kenyan nominated act is none other than Muthoni the drummer Queen, The “Mikono Kwenye hewa” singer who is famed for her Blankets and Wine series goes up against Mo Cheddar from Nigeria, Diamond from Tanzania and Jojo from Gabon…Lets make sure we drum up all the support we can and support Muthoni..Get it Drum up
