Rihanna is scrambling to find a modest stage costume after she was asked to tone down her raunchy live act for an upcoming performance in the United Arab Emirates on New Year's Eve.
The Umbrella singer, who is known for her daring and revealing outfits, will have to cover up when she takes the stage to ring in the New Year at the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi - so as not to offend any conservative fans.
And she's struggling to find something suitable - because her wardrobe is overflowing with eye-popping numbers.
A source tells Britain's Daily Mirror, "Rihanna is tearing her hair out over what to do - she wanted to put on her most eccentric and provocative show yet. She knows that she'll have to compromise her style to fit in with local traditions - but a huge part of her show is her sexy stage gear. The dress code in Abu Dhabi does not encourage excessively revealing outfits."
The 21 year old, who is reportedly receiving $500,000 for the gig, faced protests in Malaysia earlier this year over a scheduled concert until she vowed to tone down her risqué show and conform to strict dress and dance rules.

He treated them to personalized teddy bears, photo opportunities with Santa Claus, and a variety of fun and games to cheer up those affected by the storms that battered the city in September.
The generous gesture was part of the rapper's ongoing Merry Ludacrismas program, organized by his Ludacris Foundation.

It’s extremely challenging to create a debut album that’s an automatic success but Adam Lambert has churned out an instant classic that even Simon Cowell would be proud of.
For your entertainment is versatile and unbelievably intoxicating. Sure Lambert himself might resemble one of Lady Gaga’s backup dancers or you might mistake him for Pink’s gender confused twin, but look beyond the image and tune in to his songs and I guarantee you’ll be busting some serious moves wherever you are.
Provocative is how I would describe the album in it’s entirety and with the help of A-list hit makers like Justin Hawkins, Lady Gaga, Kara Dioguardi, Max Martin and Muse’s Matt Bellamy has given ‘FYE’ a flavorful batch of tunes that blend Lambert’s vocal skills into a glitzy electropop, rock and queen styled stomper.
‘For your entertainment’ opens strongly with “Music Again” which is sure to be a club anthem with Queen and Mika accents added here and there and the result is a sing-along opener that sounds fresh and unique which will definitely make it a Top 40 hit.
“For your Entertainment” follows on the same note, with Adam then settling down in a bit in “Whataya want from me”, which is radio friendly and extremely poignant with Lambert expressing his vulnerable appreciation for the acceptance he has received-“I’m a freak” he sings “but thanks for loving me/cause you’re doing it perfectly”.
The pace is then picked up again with “Strut” and slows down with heart wrenching “Soaked”, a ballad that shows off Lambert’s ability to croon emotion in it’s most touching form. Plus the piano, rocking strings and his falsetto prove that the comparisons made between him and Freddie Mercury are not without merit.
This variation in the album’s architecture ensures listeners have breathers to combat the risk of ending up with a musical head rush. Plus all the songs accomplish what Lambert had in mind for the album: “songs that make you want to let loose, dance, work out and have fun”.
And whatever the album might lack in depth, major risks and social commentary it makes up for in extreme energy, pleasure and playfulness.
For me the gem in the album is “Broken Open” as it expresses loneliness, vulnerability, a yearning for connection but it’s not too heavy that it makes you want to slit your wrists in depression. Infact the ethereal, electro soul ballad feels like it actually belongs on the ‘New Moon’ soundtrack.
Another honorable mention is ‘Sleepwalker’ for its pitch friendly vocals, explosive guitar work and resonating lyrics.
As a whole ‘FYE’ is the most impressive debut album in recent memory. It showcases creativity, diversity, eccentricity, talent, energy, flamboyance and is pure exhilaration. Yes I am gushing and if you listen to it, so will you!! Lambert has truly made music history with ‘FYE’ so be prepared to venture into a glittery world where GLAMbert reigns supreme!! So if u fancy pop and rock then this will appeal to you and believe me it’ll be worth every shilling you spend as it is “For your entertainment”.
Nick Lachey has said that there is always a chance that 98 Degrees could reform in the future.
Lachey, who is currently fronting NBC's The Sing Off, launched his career as a member of the 1990s band, who sold more than ten million records before deciding to take a break in 2002.
Speaking to Digital Spy, he said: "You never know! We always kept that door wide open so we'll see!"
Lachey went on to admit that hosting the a capella competition had made him nostalgic for his old band: "Seeing these groups performing together and doing the a capella definitely does make me reminisce for our days in the group, so I kind of got the itch a little bit."
He added that if the programme had been around when 98 Degrees was starting they "would have been a part of it" if they could.

Lady Gaga came in third, ahead of Kings of Leon and Green Day.
Meanwhile, Lady GaGa's 'The Fame Monster' was voted the third best album of 2009. U2's 'No Line On The Horizon' and Animal Collective's 'Merriweather Post Pavilion' rounded out the top five.
Last week, U2 claimed the top spots on the publication's editor poll. No Line On The Horizon was the top album pick, while the Irish rockers' Moment of Surrender scored the Best Song of 2009 honor.

Metallica frontman James Hetfield has donated a massive area of his Marin County, California estate to conservation groups. The Marin Independent Journal newspaper reports the move effectively forbids anyone from building on or developing over 300 acres of land overlooking the Lucas Valley.
The Marin Board of Supervisors has unanimously accepted the donation.
Spokesman Steve Kinsey tells the publication, "This is a really exciting offer. He (Hetfield) has become a heavy contributor to our agricultural conservation efforts."
Hetfield and his bandmates also recently raised money for various charities in Canada while on tour.
Nick Jonas' new band The Administration has landed a major gig for 2010 - the act has been booked as the house band for the Critics Choice Movie Awards.
Jonas debuted his new group at the American Music Awards last month and now they're set for another big night in Los Angeles on January 15.
The 17 year old pop star says, "I'm excited and honored... We'll be performing a lot of covers, intros and outros to the commercials."
Pink has quit the trapeze act she performed at the MTV Video Music Awards - because she could only perform it on painkillers. The singer has revealed she separated her shoulder the night before the start of her tour and the high-flying number was just too much for her.
She explains, "It took everything in me to get through those shows. I was in so much pain... It was the first time I ever took a pain pill onstage."
Pink almost braved the pain one last time for her hometown show in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - but was advised to keep her feet on the ground.
She tells Women's Health magazine, "I wanted to do the trapeze routine so badly, but I just couldn't. I know my body.
"The last thing I want is for two, five, 10 years from now, not to be able to pick up my child because I was stubborn."
Performing the routine at the MTV VMAs was enough for her: "I did it on television. I proved to myself that I could do it in the first place."
A judge has now banned Courtney Love from having any contact with daughter Frances Bean Cobain - days after she lost temporary legal control of the teen.
The 17 year old was placed under the temporary guardianship of her late father Kurt Cobain's mother, Wendy O'Connor, and his sister, Kimberly Dawn Cobain, on Friday, prompting reports Love lost custody due to a drug relapse.
Love addressed the family issue in a series of angry posts on Facebook, attacking her daughter for choosing to live with her in-laws.
She wrote: "I hate to sound cold but any kid of mine who pulls this s**t has lost her position... she was deceptive, she lied and she's lying to herself... My daughter is not always honest."
And now Love, whose lawyer insists she is completely "clean," has been barred from having any direct or indirect contact with her daughter, after a judge issued a temporary restraining order, reports TMZ.com.
A hearing to make the restraining order permanent is set for January 5th.

Rocker Courtney Love has lost temporary legal control of her teenage daughter Frances Bean Cobain.
Well no surprise there, considering what a train wreck she is!!
According to court documents obtained by TMZ.com, the singer's 17-year-old child with the late Kurt Cobain has been placed under the care of the Nirvana star's mom, Wendy O'Connor, and the late rocker's sister, Kimberly Dawn Cobain.
They will be placed in charge of Frances' personal and financial well-being.
However, the pair has no authority to touch the Frances Bean Cobain Irrevocable Trust of 1997, which was set up to help provide for the girl after Cobain's death.
It was unknown why the guardianship was transferred as court javascript:void(0)proceedings have been sealed.
The order will remain in place until 10 February, 2010.
Kate Hudson has split from baseball star Alex Rodriguez, according to reports.
They have been dating since the beginning of the year, but she has been fiercely protective about the union, refusing to talk about the romance.
Rodriguez sparked speculation he and Hudson had parted ways earlier this month, when he was spotted partying alone in Miami, Florida, and now a source close to the pair has confirmed the couple has split, telling website GossipCop.com, "It's true."
Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist John Frusciante has quit the group to concentrate on his solo career.
The guys reconvened earlier this year after a two year hiatus which saw the rockers concentrate on their own side projects.
Frusciante, who has released 10 of his own albums over the years-(which i have never even heard of...), used the band's break to work on his latest solo record, The Empyrean, which was released at the beginning of the year.
However, tabloids are now reporting the musician has quit the group to continue work on his own material and has been replaced by Josh Klinghoffer, who toured with the rockers in 2007 and has previously played for Gnarls Barkley and PJ Harvey.
Green Day are following in the footsteps of pop legends The Beatles - they've landed their own Rock Band interactive video game.
The rockers are currently creating the game with software designers to allow fans to rock out and jam to their biggest hits.
Frontman Billy Joe Armstrong said they had worked with the Rock Band team in the past year to enable their fans to play tracks from 21st Century Breakdown, and they're excited to now be working on a game spanning their entire career.
Armstrong did say he hoped "we had the times of our lives" whilst playing it!!!

The man who punched Leona Lewis at a book signing in London has pleaded guilty to the attack and been ordered to remain in the hospital under Britain's Mental Health Act.
Lewis was left with redness and swelling to the face, and whiplash symptoms following the attack, according to court documents, which also revealed Kowalczyk shouted "Gotcha!" as he swiped the star with his fist.
Lewis, said this incident frightened her tremendously and is now afraid of going out in public.,well all the truckloads of money she has been earning lately should help ease her devastation...
Timbaland has turned his back on hip-hop for good - insisting the genre is "just not the same" as when he started out.
The Grammy-winning beatmaker began his career working for hip-hop superstars Ginuwine and Missy Elliott, but has moved away from his roots to focus on more pop-sounding tracks.
And after working with Justin Timberlake, Nelly Furtado and the Pussycat Dolls, the star believes he's found his niche - insisting there are only a few of his hip-hop contemporaries who are still relevant naming Jay Z, Lil Wayne and Kanye west as a few of them.
He tells MTV.com, "I was done with hip-hop a long time ago. Once my generation left, I left. I do it, but there's nobody from my generation besides Jay-Z who's doing it. I look at Lil Wayne as being from my generation. Some people are still acceptable. Kanye (West) is acceptable from my generation. It's just not the same. By it not being the same, I kind of fade to black. I did music that fits where I was going to in my age bracket.
